Plans For Every Trading Style

I have been investing for close to 30 years and have always had a strong interest in the financial markets but have never taken the plunge into trading as I was busy starting a family and building a business. My wife recently went back to work after 10 years as a stay at home mom and my business is on autopilot. My intention is to sell it in the next 2-3 years as I am pretty tired of what I am doing. I do have an exit plan for my business but the only question for me is what will I do after I sell my company.

I thought and thought about it and went back to the one thing that I love…stocks! Trading will allow me to spend time and help with my children while my wife is busy at work. I can literally do it from anywhere and most importantly I won’t have employees (pure bliss!!). Its been about 18 months since I started my trading journey and it has been choppy from the beginning. I read countless books, joined paid and free Discord groups, and tried different strategies that I thought could work. Guess what? None of them worked consistently nor made any sense to me..not a single one.

While browsing through Reddit I found the Real Day Trading sub which led me to the OneOption YouTube channel and finally OneOption. I fell in love with the simple straightforward approach. It makes complete sense to me!! It is logical, rational, and most of all very simple to learn. I still have my ups and downs but much more ups than downs. Pete and his team are fantastic! They are responsive when you ask questions and the desire to keep improving their product (software/education material) is inspiring. 

Trading small, but the system has saved me more money by not trading at the wrong times. Market First!

OneOption has given me the compass to consistency. I was trading momentum stocks with an offshore broker account because “that’s how the elites trade”. (Or so I thought) I wanted to believe there was a way to be consistently profitable, but I never thought someone would share their findings and I’d have to try to figure it out myself. I don’t and community isn’t afraid to exploit the strategy…the edge we have cannot be hidden.

My trading career started many moons ago when I had the option to choose between Google IPO or a mining stock and I’m thinking, hey the next BREX, so I went with that, which turned out to be nothing more than a backhoe and a dump truck. So a few years ago I got back into trading and found reddit which led me to AMC and GME and yes I made a few bucks not much but enough to think that I could do this. Then one day on r/WSB I see this guy HSheldon making fun of these guys and calling them idiots, and I’m like I gotta follow this guy which then led me to Pete at OneOption. I joined the chat room and found all these great traders and go for a 3 hour tour with the skipper too (Pete), Gilligan (Harry), a millionaire (Dave) and his wife, a MOOvie star, Professor1970 and the rest here on OneOption ( I hope you hum that song in your head while you read it). I started trading options so that was great until I found out that yes options can go to 0. Now I am back to trading one share and 1 contract getting the basics down, RS/RW I stick to stocks that have a good daily short or long because I usually get stuck in them so I’m OK. I am learning how to use 1OP and of course Market First, Market First, Market First!!

OneOption is a treasure trove of no-bullshit trading knowledge. While there are no shortcuts to becoming a full time trader, the info taught by Pete and the OneOption chat room can make that journey significantly easier. I am only 6 months into my trading journey, and in that time Pete and the OneOption community have shown me that being a day trader isn’t just a day dream. It is something that I can and will achieve.

I’ve moved across the US multiple times, graduated with a Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering, built race cars, climbed mountains, taught myself to unicycle, and have done many other objectively difficult things, but trading has by far been the most challenging adventure ever.

I put in the time to read and re-read our resources, deliberate with the community, and journal my trades in a way I know is leading me to becoming a professional trader.
